Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path PSALM 119:105
Oasis Word – Let us return to the altar – October 23rd 2026 By Oasis Outreach Dir. Alistair Baptiste
Beloved, God has given us his son, who came and died for our sins giving us redemption from the plans of the enemy.
Today we enjoy this freedom but many have become complacent to the tasks that comes with it.
When Jesus was resurrected, he made some requests.
Jesus, like a good friend, entrusted us to his property while away and says Go ye into all the earth, heal the sick, raise the dead, bring sight to the blind, cast our devils.
He said these signs will follow them that believe, are you a believer?
Today we see a church that has lost her way, like the foolish virgins of Mathew 25, going about our tasks while not being cognizant of things to come.
We hear about revival all around yet no revival, why is this so? Is God’s hands too short? Has he other things to do? certainly not, revival first starts at the altar.
2 Chronicles 7:14 Says "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
It means revival has its prerequisites.
Do those things first THEN I will come give you the tools required for the task.
Ministry does not rely on human strength; it’s carried out by the will of God and his Holy Spirit. One would quickly run out of energy if it’s all about fleshly gain; they will soon run to a halt but when the spirit of God backs your efforts, he brings a refreshing that gives you the impetus to go on.
Today, we see a church who refuses to stand out, a church who dares not stand up against the systems of the world, a church that’s focused on monetary gains rather than spiritual.
How many of you are at the altar seeking forgiveness?
How many are at the altar in intercession for a brother or sister?
How many are at the altar fasting for the body of Christ?
How many would dismiss a call when the topic is about a member’s business?
Some of you may have a dream and by morning you’re on the phone chatting about what you saw. Well, the enemy also gives dreams and it will be true because he’ll use that as a base for gossip! … God is not the author of confusion; when God gives you a dream, he showed you so that you either warn or intercede, it’s not for gossip!
Then you go to church and wonder why the service is heavy, congratulations, you did it!
It’s time to return to the altar, return to the purpose to which God have called us.
Pastors return to the altar, members, sin is sin and we’re all guilty of it, lets get it right and re-establish ourselves in the power of God and his calling
.
Today if you have been blessed by this message, please take it to heart, return to the altar, repent and ask God to make you new again as you return to your first love.
Blessings to you from the Oasis Outreach.
